Michael is a Senior Consultant at Sim & McBurney and has extensive experience in obtaining patents for his clients throughout the world in a wide range of technologies, including chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, biotechnology, therapeutics, biology, pharmacology, immunology, diagnostics, medical procedures and devices, chemical and mechanical process systems, pulp and paper chemistry and equipment, radiochemistry, food chemistry, polymer chemistry, aeronautics, environmental technology, as well as packaging structures, automotive inventions and other mechanical arts.
Over one thousand United States patents have been obtained by Michael for his Canadian clients in this diverse range of technology, dealing with the United States Patent and Trade-mark Office. Michael has also assisted clients and associates to obtain Canadian patents. He has assisted his Canadian clients, both in the private and institutional sectors, to license their technology for successful commercialization in Canada and abroad, as well as assisting his Canadian clients in licensing technology from other entities.
Michael retains an interest in cricket, soccer, American football, baseball and basketball. He is also an avid stamp collector.
