Leigh Walters

Leigh is a partner at Sim & McBurney and Sim Ashton & McKay LLP where her practice covers all aspects of intellectual property law, including the protection, prosecution, transfer and enforcement of intellectual property rights, with a particular emphasis on trade-marks. Her practice encompasses the negotiation and drafting of licensing, co-existence and acquisition agreements, as well as trade-mark availability.

Leigh is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC). She is an active speaker in the fields of trade-marks and intellectual property licensing and has conducted presentations, webinars and roundtable discussions for IPIC, the Intellectual Trade-mark Association (INTA) and the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI).

Leigh is dedicated to ensuring a high level of client service and satisfaction, focusing on prompt, effective, value added service.

In her spare time, Leigh enjoys playing ice hockey, curling, cottage life and travel, and is a dedicated member of the Sim & McBurney and Sim Ashton & McKay LLP softball team.
